Quick Overnight Trip to Falmouth, Maine: My Stay at Fairfield Inn by Marriott Portland

Parent of a figure skater, we often travel to different cities for competitions. Each competition means another hotel stay, and on my recent quick overnight trip to Falmouth, Maine, I had the pleasure of staying at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott Portland.

One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because of its convenient location and pricing. The Fairfield Inn by Marriott Portland is situated in Scarborough, a charming town just outside of Portland. Being close to the competition venue was crucial, as it allowed me to minimize travel time after a late night competition. Driving home, almost 3 hours away in the rain, wasn't an ideal option.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted by friendly staff who made the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. The lobby had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, which instantly put me at ease after a long day at the rink.

Parent to a hungry and athletic boy, one of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast offered by the hotel. The Fairfield Inn by Marriott Portland provided a delicious spread of options, including fruits, pastries, cereals, and hot items like scrambled eggs, sausage, and a fan favorite, waffles. It was the perfect way to fuel up after a long night at the rink.

The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and the pillows provided excellent support for a good night's sleep.

My main factors for staying were location, price and complimentary hot breakfast. Overall, my stay at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott Portland was a delightful experience. The convenient location, complimentary breakfast, comfortable room, and friendly staff all contributed to making my quick overnight trip a success. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, whether for a figure skating competition or any other reason.
